11:30 – because Nick was exercising late and I’m having trouble sleeping and needed him to stop making noise

I don’t know. Everyone lives far away and Thanksgiving is farther away. I had lunch with Tina today – does that count?

Showering without children underfoot and blowdrying my hair – a rarity if I wait that long

What was the reason you last cried?

Yesterday morning on Nick’s shoulder after the doctor called and I was going to have to wait another month to go off synthroid and I momentarily doubted whether I was tough enough to keep feeling like this that long.

What’s the fifth title description in your inbox say?

Weird. My last seven emails have been from Marika. She can’t sleep at night as well and emails me random thoughts and good wishes through the night. I think she was just checking in – it says “HI”

Where was the last coffee shop you went to?

Hmmmm. I don’t know. I like Starbuck’s drive through coco when I feel down or am out by myself. Sometime in the last month.

What type of outfit are you wearing?

Chubby Chick Clothes – black t-shirt, black shorts, black flipflops (because I want to make me feet look thinner)

What were you doing at 11pm last night?

Silently cursing Nick in my head for starting his exercises so late and brushing my teeth maniacally.

Who was the last person you talked to last night before bed?

On the Phone – Aunt Missy. In Person – I went to Jeff and Melinda’s house for the first time since they moved and we chatted. Nick doesn’t count – he’s like talking to myself and he’s always there.

When did your last hug take place?

Charlie and Luke hugged me before bed and Tina hugged me goodbye this afternoon.

Have you ever started a sentence with “No offense, but?

To Molly this morning before I started making jokes about her puppy tatonka biting through a canister of “bear mace” last night. The memory was a little fresh for teasing so I said the dreaded “no offense”. Really, there was a certain part of the scenario that screamed to be commented on in a humorous fashion – I can’t tell you what it was – but so funnnnnyyyyy.

Only herbal and then it’s peppermint with honey.

Please. Almost – in Honduras – but they pulled the gun out of my side and let us go on our way when we pulled out another 20 DOLLAR bill.

Have you ridden in someone else’s car today?

Yes, tina’s car. She saved me from myself and got me out of the house - we went to Hazel's for lunch and sat outside and talked until they basically pushed off the property - and then we headed to my favorite scrapbook store for some retail therapy.

Marika – checking in and returning and email.

Are you happy with your life right now?

Hmmm. I’m happy with my husband and kids and that they are happy and that we are so blessed to live near family and in a nice, safe home – but ultimately – this is a hard time. I don’t know if it would qualify as a happy time.

Please. Wait. Define “under the influence”. I’ve got a lot of fake thyroid and calcium flowing through my veins.
